Orixa Systems Framework User Guide
The Help System is intended to cover a lot of areas, and provide a wide range of information.
It is fairly easy to search through it to look for particular sections, or to open a specific section directly from part of the system.
Purpose of Sections
- The "User Guide" section is intended to show new and experienced users who work with the system how to use it quickly and easily. Under this heading there are sub-headings explaining how to use different visual elements of the system, but also giving a basic introduction into how data is organised in any Orixa System.
All users should find useful information by reviewing the contents of the "Users Guide" secdtion. - The Developer Guide section is intended to give a deeper understanding of the underlaying framework that is used to build a system. It includes topics on how to adapt, extend and design a system using tools that are built-in and available to users with "developer" security levels.
If you want to make any changes to your system, from adding or editing reports to detailed extension of your system, review documents here to show you how. - The SQL Language Guide section explains the operation of the universally used database language "SQL", and some of the specifics of how it is implemented in the Orixa Framework.
If you want to add to or change any of the SQL resources which are used by the system you will find it useful to consult this section of the Help. - The Delphi Developer Guide section (not publically available) details how the framework is constructed at the level of the primary source code.
Help in this section is intended to assist developers who work on Orixa Systems that are being extended at this level. This level of extension is necessary to allow systems to include really detailed and complex customization, such as features to link an Orixa system to hardware and machinery in factories. - The Miscellaneous Documents section is exactly that, variety of "extra" and "FAQ" type documents. It contains a few useful "tips and tricks" documents which are well worth checking.
- The Website documents section provides more background and details about Orixa for general interest, and is used as the source content for the Orixa public-facing website.
